The artists says about his palette knife techniques:

„At the College for Design and Composition in Augsburg as well as during my time at the IABC in Kolding I actually just happened to grab a palette knife and a rubber blade… and everything happened all by itself. Within a very short time, several dozens of works originated. I can only remember the first rubber blade work which was made up of just three lines. My arts tutor at that time said to me: ‘Leave it like that. It’s perfect. This is definitely your technique. Keep working on it.‘ I didn’t have a clue what he was talking about. I mean there were only three rubber blade lines on white paper… Unfortunately, I messed up the painting later on with charcoal because I didn’t believe him. But he was right: The palette knife technique became one of my strengths.”

This series comprises 14 works of art.
